We have the very impressive results from Rodinia Lithium PEA on its Brine deposit in Argentina. Stock was beaten very hard during the recent market turmoil, but is recovering very fast from as low as 0.14CAD just few weeks ago. This results are the very good illustration of economic potential for the brine mining in Argentina.
We have been moving down the food chain in our Lithium investment approach starting with positions in SQM and FMC, then Orocobre, Western Lithium and Lithium One and now we are very pleased with the results for Rodinia Lithium and looking forward to the development of International Lithium (ILC) Mariana brine project in Argentina. ILC is our top pick and we found its recent presentation very interesting with comparison of market valuations and projects for different lithium developers, including Rodinia Lithium.
Nothing is for certain at this stage - ILC has to confirm the chemistry at Mariana during the upcoming drill program, but we can see the potential of future development. The early stage can provide the very attractive entry opportunity, but you should always consider the risk involved. China is moving fast these days in Electric Space, BYD - Electric Auto and Lithium batteries producer - has announced its plans for strategic cooperation in Argentina last week.
Chinese Shan Shan has a strategic stake in Rodinia Lithium and Ganfeng Lithium has just under 10% in International Lithium Corp. TNR Gold with 28% in ILC was up yesterday 36.6% on over 2 mln shares, but it could be related also to other projects of that company. Insiders are buying International Lithium and TNR Gold.
"We have a very interesting development: BYD - Chinese Lithium batteries and Electric Cars automaker backed by Warren Buffett moves into Argentina. China moves again to secure the market and strategic commodities. Despite all recent doom and gloom in the markets, electric cars are moving forward and all major Lithium producers have increased their prices this summer."
