Lomiko Metals gains after test results confirm 100% carbon purity at graphite property LMR.v

Now Lomiko Metals has the goods to deliver for its Graphite and Graphene Investors. Strategic Investor with the deep pocket to develop the property will be ideally the next step to reposition this company to the different valuation league. Results from the property speak for themselves this time and market takes notice.

Lomiko Metals gains after test results confirm 100% carbon purity at graphite property

Graphite characterization testing was based on composites of seven graphite drill samples from the property, with more than 85 percent of test results higher than the 94 percent carbon purity considered 'high carbon content' the company said, with the median test result being 98.35 percent. Lomiko Metals (CVE:LMR) shares rose on Friday after the company reported tests showed "good crystalinne flake distribution" of graphite on samples from its Quatre Milles East property in Quebec, with 100 percent carbon purity confirmed in "multiple" samples.

The highlight was the nine sieve samples that captured flakes of varying sizes, which tested 100 percent carbon, Lomiko told investors in a statement Friday.
Lomiko added it will be forwarding samples for graphite to graphene conversion testing to partner Graphene Labs as soon as possible.
"Graphite characterization test results indicate Quatre Milles graphite material has significant potential as a near surface, open pit mining project aimed at fulfilling industrial graphite demand in the future," said CEO of Lomiko, A. Paul Gill.
"More importantly, it is an excellent candidate for graphite to graphene conversion testing under our previously announced Strategic Alliance with Graphene Labs."
Full metallurgical studies are warranted, the company said, once a resource on the property is completed.
The Quatre Milles East property is road accessible and is located around 175 km northwest of Montreal and 17 km due north of the village of Sainte-Veronique, Quebec. The property consists of 28 contiguous claims totaling around 1,600 hectares.
Southwestern Quebec is host to some of the most favourable geological terrain for graphite exploration in Canada and is known to host graphite resources, including the nearby Lac Des Iles Mine.
Graphite applications include lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, and nuclear and solar power that have the potential to create significant incremental demand growth."

High-growth, high-value graphite applications require large-flake and high-purity graphite, which is the prime development target at Quatre Milles East.
The composites used for the testing announced today provided "a non-representative yet wide-ranging sample of the property's graphite distribution by mesh size, industry classification and carbon purity", the company said in the statement.
Shares of Lomiko rose more than 27 percent Friday, or 1.5 cents, to 7 cents.
