Here comes the real fun with Electric Cars - to drive an EV at minus 33 C must be something! Volvo knows how to handle freezing temperatures and they will find out how to make batteries and heating in EV  coexisting with the optimal performance to allow acceptable driving range even in this extreme conditions. Technology must be changing rapidly to allow us to switch to Electric Cars - at some point the oil price will make us happy just to be able to drive anything, but here we can expect to rely on comfort of conventional cars in our post carbon world.

"Racing has brought to our everyday life a lot of technological improvements in our cars. Electric cars will benefit from racing in the same way when their reliability, safety and performance will be tested up to the limits. We can consider this development as a graduation process for EVs."
